Robotaxi Airport Pickups and Drop-offs

Which airports let a robotaxi pick you up or drop you off, and where to meet the car.

You can now get a Waymo ride at six US airports: Phoenix, San Francisco, and San José, plus San Antonio, Nashville, and Las Vegas. The meeting point varies by airport and may differ from the standard rideshare curb, so use the location named in the app.

  • Waymo pickups and drop-offs are offered at Phoenix (PHX), San Francisco (SFO), and San José (SJC), plus San Antonio (SAT), Nashville (BNA), and Las Vegas (LAS).
  • Zoox or Tesla robotaxi rides are available at Las Vegas (Zoox) and San José (Tesla).
  • Robotaxi rides are not yet available at Los Angeles (LAX) or Austin (AUS).

Where Robotaxis Meet You at the Airport

The meeting point depends on the airport and the company operating the car. At some airports, the vehicle pulls up to the terminal curb. At others, you need to take a brief train ride to a spot away from the terminals.

Some airports currently serve only a select group of riders drawn from people who already use the app. San Antonio is open to all riders. At Las Vegas, Nashville and San Francisco, Waymo is starting with a limited group of riders who already use the app.

Waymo at SFO: Ride the AirTrain to Your Car

Waymo rides to and from San Francisco International launched in January 2026. For now, the car does not pull up to the terminal curb. Your meeting point is either by the Rental Car Center entrance or by the Grand Hyatt at SFO.

Reaching the Rental Car Center takes one AirTrain ride from the terminals. The AirTrain adds a few minutes to your trip, so leave a little extra time before your pickup.

Booking is restricted at the moment. Waymo initially invited only a limited number of riders, and the airport notes that currently only select users can ride there. According to Waymo, terminal pickup locations are planned for later.

Waymo Pickup Points at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport

Phoenix offers two meeting points, and you can pick either one. At Terminals 3 and 4, you meet the car on Level 1 by South Door 8. That same door handles drop-offs.

Your other option is the Sky Train, the airport train that links the terminals with the stations used by rideshare cars. The Sky Train stations are located at 24th Street and 44th Street. Once you are on the train, request your ride so the car is there close to when you arrive.

Sky Harbor became the first airport anywhere to welcome Waymo rides, and the service has operated there since November 2022.

Where to Meet Your Car in Las Vegas, Nashville, San Antonio and San José

Two robotaxi companies operate in Las Vegas. Since September 2026, Zoox has served Terminals 1 and 3. Collect your car on Level 0 at Terminal 1, or on Level 0 beside Door 55 at Terminal 3, according to the Zoox guide for Las Vegas International Airport. For drop-offs, use Departures at Terminal 1 or Level 0 at Terminal 3. Waymo arrived in October 2026 and marked pickup and drop-off areas on the Ground Zero Level by Terminals 1 and 3. It began by serving select riders only.

Nashville service started in October 2026. One spot handles both pickups and drop-offs: Terminal Garage 2 on Level Zero. Only select riders can use the airport right now.

San Antonio welcomed all riders in October 2026. When departing, the car pulls up at the curb near Terminals A and B. When arriving, make your way to the outer curb close to Rideshare Zone 2.

San José has hosted Waymo rides since November 2025. Waymo pickups happen at Stop 9 at Terminal A, while Terminal B pickups happen outside the Rental Car Center. Tesla Robotaxi service is also available in San José, with pickups at Terminal A at Stop 1 and Terminal B at Stop 8. Tesla's Bay Area vehicles include a safety driver, someone seated in the driver's seat who can take control if needed. Both operators drop riders on the Departures side of the curb.

Airports With No Robotaxi Service Yet

Los Angeles International has no robotaxi rides yet. The Waymo service area for Los Angeles does not cover LAX.

Austin sits in a different position. Waymo has announced service for Austin-Bergstrom, though Waymo trips booked through Uber in Austin do not currently travel to or from the airport.

Robotaxi Rules for Airport Pickups

Rules differ by airport and by operator. Find yours, then check the pickup spot in the app. We track 9 airports. Robotaxis can take you to or from 6 of them, but not yet the other 3. Counted on 1 Nov 2026.

Tips for a Robotaxi Airport Ride

  • Check that the airport sits inside the service area before you set off.
  • Set your pickup to the robotaxi spot the app names. It is often not the usual rideshare curb.
  • Leave a little extra time. A robotaxi may pick a slower route than a driver would.
  • Load your own bags. There is no driver to help.
