Waymo opened rides to the public in Denver in September 2026, but you'll need to join a waitlist first.
- Launch date: September 2026
- Current status: Waitlist
- Service zone: Roughly 60 square miles
- Airport and highway travel: Excluded
To join the waitlist, sign up through the Waymo app and wait until Waymo grants you access. Waymo is letting Denver riders in a few at a time, so it may take a while before your invite arrives.
Denver service area
This area covers about 60 square miles. It crosses the city boundary and reaches into Adams County and Lakewood.
Some trips aren't available right now. The vehicles avoid Denver International Airport and stay off highways, so you'll need another way to get to the airport.
Which places are included?
The zone reaches beyond Denver into Edgewater, Lakewood, Glendale, Commerce City and parts of Adams County.
Joining the Denver Waitlist
You sign up through the Waymo app, which is available on iPhone and Android.
- Download it for iPhones from Apple's App Store, or for Android devices from Google Play.
- Sign up for the waitlist in the app.
- Wait for your turn, since Denver riders are gradually added.
The Cars You'll Ride In
Waymo's fleet includes the Jaguar I-PACE and the Ojai. These vehicles handle the driving themselves, so no one has to take the wheel.
Other Robotaxi Choices in Denver
A robotaxi carries paying passengers while driving itself, similar to a traditional taxi without a driver. Of the options listed for Denver, only Waymo is open to the public.
In Denver, Zoox is still trying out its vehicles, and the public can't book rides yet.
Driverless Taxis in Denver and Other Cities
