Public rides in Las Vegas started in September 2026, and anyone new has to sign up for the waitlist in the Waymo app before booking a car. Waymo opens access to riders in stages, so your account may not be approved right away.

- Access: Waitlist
- Coverage: Boulder Junction to Sahara Avenue
- Airport trips: Opened October 2026, select riders first
Where Waymo Operates
Waymo cars travel across a zone stretching from Boulder Junction all the way to Sahara Avenue, according to Waymo. In total, that region covers roughly 24 square miles.
Before you book, check the map in the app to make sure your trip falls inside this area.
Places in the Service Area
Some familiar destinations sit within the zone. Riders can request trips to or from Allegiant Stadium, The Venetian, and Harry Reid International Airport, where service is available from Terminals 1 and 3.
Inside the app, the map shows the zone's exact boundaries, so it's the easiest place to check whether a particular address qualifies.
Getting a Ride Through the Waitlist
- Get the Waymo app. You can download it for iPhone or Android.
- Sign up for the waitlist inside the app, because Las Vegas access is still rolling out in stages.
- Wait for access. Waymo brings people in small groups instead of opening the whole city at once.
Your ride will be one of Waymo's two vehicles, the Jaguar I-PACE or the Ojai.
Waymo Trips to the Las Vegas Airport
Service at Harry Reid International Airport began in October 2026. Existing riders received access first, so a brand-new account might not have airport trips available yet.
Waymo picks you up on the Ground Zero Level at Terminals 1 and 3. Zoox serves both terminals too, with its own Level 0 pickup spots, including one by Door 55 at Terminal 3.
| Operator | Airport service began | Where to get in | Where to get out |
|---|---|---|---|
| Waymo | October 2026 | Terminals 1 and 3, Ground Zero Level | Not listed |
| Zoox | September 2026 | Level 0 at Terminal 1; Level 0 by Door 55 at Terminal 3 | Departures at Terminal 1; Level 0 at Terminal 3 |
Zoox posts the details on its airport page.
Other Robotaxi Services in Las Vegas
A robotaxi drives itself, with nobody behind the wheel. Several companies offer this kind of ride in the city:
- Zoox: public trips on and around the Strip have been available since September 10, 2025.
- Motional: available through Uber since March 13, 2026.
- Tesla Robotaxi: listed for Las Vegas, with no date given and not yet open to riders.
Riding a Driverless Taxi in Las Vegas
You can, though each service works a little differently. Since September 2025, Zoox has been offering public rides around the Strip, while Motional rides go through Uber.
Waymo is operating in Las Vegas too, but you must join its waitlist first.
